Jenny
Brown didn't know what to expect when she and her
husband moved to San Diego from the east coast. Suddenly
she finds that her life lacks direction; she's in
a rut.
Loneliness, the insensitivity of her husband, being
jobless and the
internal struggles to make the decision to find her
birth mother, are
all taking their toll.
Then,
not once but twice, as fate would have it, she stumbles
into the Institute of Affirmation, an unusual adult
education center where your negative attributes become
your positive attributes. All the patrons have a story
to tell and are searching for that special something
to make them happy. At this school all you have to
do is visualize; no one will tell you "that's impossible."
Making
Magic and Miracles
The
Institue doesn't offer typical courses, but they do
teach classes such as Homecooking for Pets; Music
for the Non-Musical; Drawing Blindfolded and Making
Magic and Miracles, to mention a few. The Institute
isn't Jenny's cup of tea, yet for some reason she
is drawn to it and the interesting, charming director,
Michael. In one of the classes that Jenny takes, she
makes three wishes. Will they come true?
If
you need a feel-good-book, something light yet inspirational,
I do recommend this read. It might put your life into
prospective and leave you thinking about more!
